How To Avoid Scammers

How to avoid scammers? Look at this! Thanks to Underneath Stardoll

1.First and most important rule!!! Never give out your password to ANYBODY, even if your friends. Your account is yours. It is personal and noone must have access to your account!!!
Don't give it for makeups, presentations or anything. Sure there are safe people but why would you take that risk over a presentaion make up etc when you can make it on your own!!!
2.NEVER change the email you registered with your account. The email controls the account. With the email you can request a new password. So NEVER change it. People that tell you Cheats that require to change your email adress are DEFINETELY and 100% SCAMMERS
3.Use a strong password. Any secure password should include letters, numbers and AT LEAST A SPECIAL CHARACTER such as pound, exclamation mark, currency sign, anything like that. Those passwords are unbreakable. So if it's possible make your password to include a special character. By doing this, you don't need to change your password all the time.
4. Don't navigate to other untrusted sites while you're logged in. There are sites that have tracking and stealing password programs called cookies and they can copy your password. It's important that you clean the cookies of your browser before and after being in Stardoll. Google how to clean cookies in the browser you use and set it to automatically clean. Whenever you close your browser windows (all of them) the cookies get wiped off. Open again and then log in to Stardoll.
5. If you suspect your being hacked, log out from Stardoll immediately. Many hacking devices work while you are logged in. Close all browser windows, open again, and without logging in to Stardoll request a new password to be sent by Stardoll to your registered email. TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE IN THIS, so be quick.
6. If you have been hacked write to Stardoll urgently and tell them clearly all the facts and ask for their intervention in recovering the items you lost. They will probably listen and act.
7.Get informed on latest stardoll scammers by blogs such as : http://theuglysideofstardoll.blogspot.com/
8. Every time you log in to stardoll make sure that the url says www.stardoll.com. NO OTHER site even if it looks like the same that asks you to put nick and pass to enter your account is SAFE. All these "stardoll-copies" sites are SCAMS!!
9. When trading do it with a well trusted person with at least 5-10 references which you will also check to see if they can be trusted too. Especially when the person who want to trade with asks you to go first!!
10. Last but not at all least let's clear something out in Stardoll there is NO CHEAT for FREE Superstar Membership, Free Stardollars , Free Limited Edition, Free DKNY and all this things. WHOEVER Promise you that is a Scammer. IF there was anything free of those things, the trusted blog you read already would have find it first!!!

Stardoll Update

If you were on Stardoll.com last night (Tues Sept 14) between 18:30 – 20:00 CET you will have noticed things were not working as they should be. Although you could browse non-member sections of the site, you couldn’t log in, log out, access your account, buy Stardollars, etc…

Without using boring technical jargon, we had an unexpected super-high number of people on the site all at the same time. What do you do if you have too many people to fit on a boat? You get a bigger boat! So our technical whizzkids quickly upgraded our servers to accommodate all of you during this incredibly popular and busy time on Stardoll. You’ll be happy to know that everything is not only back to normal, it’s better than ever!

MSW Update

We at the Official Stardoll Blog are pretty nosey by nature, so accumulating secret details about the upcoming Miss Stardoll World 2010 contest was no problemo! So via a source of whispers and candy bribes, here’s what we know so far…

(update) For the first MSW it will be 18 countries, but if the event proves to be popular it will most definitely extend to even more countries in 2011.
Stardolls from any of the following countries will be able to compete. USA, UK, Poland, Ireland, France, Australia, Sweden, Italy, Germany, Brazil, Netherlands, Turkey, Portugal, Finland, Russia, Spain, Greece, Saudi Arabia. But there will also be a rest of the world Wildcard contest, closer to the final.
18 Stardolls from each of these countries will be hand-picked for the local finals to be held in October. We hear our judges are scouting for finalists already, so make sure your Suite is sweet and your MeDoll is dolled-up!
(update) 1 winner from each country (joined by rest of the world Wildcards) will go through to the Miss Stardoll World Final at the end of the year.
(update) A free 1 Year Superstar Membership will go to the overall winner, plus tons of SDs and glamorous outfits. Oh, and of course a majestic crown and sash! There will also be prizes for country finalists, country winners and grand finalists.

We believe more information will be released at some point this week, so keep an eye on the blog and your message inboxes for news regarding Stardoll’s most bold and lavish contest ever.

Do I use my nickname or real name?

Any, that’s up to you. We know the entry is from you either way.

Can boys enter the contest?

Yes of course, boys can enter too!

Why is my country not on the list?

We have limited the number of participating countries so that we have enough time to check out the ‘Suite Style’ of all the creative participants. We hope that all of you dollies out there enjoy this event and help us make it bigger next year!

Can I be Miss Stardoll World if my country is not on the list?

Actually, yes you can! In October we will introduce a separate Miss Stardoll World WILDCARD contest for the rest of the world, where winners will go directly through to the Miss Stardoll World Final. More details on the Wildcard Contest will be introduced at a later date.

Do I have to be Superstar to enter?

No everybody can enter, both Superstars and Non-Superstars!

How do you select the country finalists?

We can´t give away all of the Stardoll jury secrets, but we can tell you that the most important thing is to be a good Stardoll member. Be creative and active on the site, adhere to the code of conduct by having a clean Stardoll account (no spam, warnings, bad behavior) – and amazing style of course!

What do I do after I have entered?

Make sure that your MeDoll and Suite is all dolled up. We will be busy the next couple of months checking all your suites (yes ALL of them) and selecting 18 finalists for each country. The finalists will be announced around the middle of October. While you´re waiting, please check out the special Miss Stardoll World Collection in Starplaza, and visit the Miss Stardoll World Club to find out the latest contest gossip.
